Soccer Story Kicks Off on PC and Console

No More Robots has launched a beautiful game of their very own with the launch of Soccer Story

The viewing public might be busy watching some titanic group struggles during the World Cup, but you won’t Don’t drop the ball on a very different soccer adventure today. Soccer Story, the latest title from No More Robots, is out now across PC, Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation. This brand new tale will likely take more than the regulation 90 minutes to tackle as it presents a rich and comedic open-world RPG where soccer saves the day.

Just a full 365 days after the calamity happened, players picking up this football tinged quest will find a post kickabout world ruled by the tyrants at Soccer Inc. Citizens are forbidden from even thinking about taking a punt or using jumpers for goalposts. So what to do? You could take up tennis or use a magical ball to save the future of sport.

Looking a little bit Legend of Zelda with a lot of old school inspiration, Soccer Story is a gorgeous looking pixel at homage to plenty of old and new top down heroics. More than this though, it mixes sporting escapades, allowing players to drop their ball and build a soccer career, taking on the fiercest soccer teams like literal sharks, toddlers, old-age pensioners, and ninjas. Puzzles, challenges, and secrets await. If that doesn’t scratch your PES playing itch then there’s always the option to grab a friend and jump into four player local multiplayer.
