Star Trek: Infinite is set to launch across Pc and MacBooks on October 12, 2023
Paradox Interactive and Nimble Giant Entertainment have confirmed that players looking for a new take on the Star Trek universe can set out across the undiscovered country on 12 October. The upcoming strategy title will Leave Space Dock in just over a month, with pre orders already open for all the shiny extra enhancements you could want.
While we’re not a huge fan of pre orders, anybody who wants to grab the extras ahead f time will get the following:
● Star Trek: Lower Decks uniform options
● The U.S.S. Cerritos, a science ship with special options for minor nations (Second Contact)
● A Klingon advisor voice line, “Qapla”
For anybody who hasn’t been all over the incoming data, Sta Trek: Infinite slots itself somewhere into the Prime timeline. Set decades before the Star Trek: The Next Generation era, this adventure gives players the opportunity to shape the known galaxy in a multitude of way. Picking a faction of your choice, you’ll set out to influence the power balance of this series, long before the Founders arrived and a tad earlier than the recent Resurgence game.
As a grand strategy, expect all the major powers in play. The Federation, Romulan Star Empire, Cardassian Union, and Klingon Empire feature. Along the way you’ll need to do more than engage the Borg in ship-to-ship manoeuvres. Actually, we don’t even know if the green meanies are going to make an appearance, although I wouldn’t discount it based on the timeline. Instead, you’ll need to explore the Alpha and Beta quadrants, govern empire dynamics, handle economic intricacies, and engage with undiscovered civilizations. To take a look at how Paradox intends to do this, check out the trailer above and head over to the Star Trek: Infinite Steam Store page now.
