For players who haven’t enjoyed the charming local hospitality of Mineral Town before then, you can check out our preview of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town here on Gamespace, or even better wait for our upcoming review of the full release. If you just can’t wait then expect this slice of life farming sim to have you tilling the soil, tending to crops, and dotting over some of the cutest farm animals I’ve ever seen. Alongside the 20 varieties of crops ready to grow, this farmland can support a range of animals ranging from alpacas to angora bunnies, no day is the same as seasons cycle and new skills await.

When you can take a day off the farming sims, Mineral Town has plenty of other things to keep players entertained, townsfolk to talk to, friendships to nurture, and seasonal activities to take part in. I’m still pretty partial to the clucking tournament myself. You can check out more of Mineral Town in the brand new launch trailer from the team at Marvelous, above, or head over to the gorgeous high definition rebuild of the 2003 classic, available now. Check out more information on Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town on the official website, where you can even find an English localised comic book showcasing a typical day of life on the farm in Mineral Town.
