If you’re looking for something new and different to play this weekend, the Epic Games Store has you covered. Starting today, Surviving Mars is free on EGS, a game that sits at a respectable 76% at Metacritic.
The city building game is, as the name implies, set firmly in the realms of sci-fi. Players will be charged with colonizing Mars, though its harsh environment will make that a tough row to hoe. Factional space agencies will provide resources and financial support that will help in the building process. Players will construct domes, build infrastructure, and research ways to make improvements.
It’s a great way to fill the time until the game’s sequel, Surviving the Aftermath, comes out next year.
