Synapse Shoots Onto PSVR2 Now

Synapse, the stunning new VR shooter from nDreams, is finally available, but only on the PlayStation VR2 headset.

Synapse, the hotly tipped and utterly mind-bending VR shooter from nDreams, is out now. Players who happen to have a Playstation5 and a PSVR2 headset can jump into this brand-new experience for $34.99 / £29.99 or local equivalent. The full release of this exhilarating new adventure plunges players into a hostile, surreal world. In this swirling mass of ideas and enemies, you’ll need to overcome deadly defences using a combination of tactile weaponry and expressive telekinetic powers. Featuring dual wielding weaponry, fast paced action, and a narrative that’s a little different, this is likely to be a standout experience on the Sony VR ecosystem.

If this sounds like a hoot then you can check out the new trailer for the title, above, and prepare to leap into the mind of notorious enemy of the state, Colonel Peter Conrad (David Hayter). Guided by a Handler, Clara Sorensen (Jennifer Hale), you will make full use of the PSVR2’s built in hardware. Alongside nDream’s experience in the VR space, enhanced eye-tracking allows for some superbly adept telekinetic capabilities, and the improved haptic feedback gives provides incredible nuance to the whole title.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to see people’s excitement for Synapse grow from the moment we announced the game back in February,” said James Shepherd, Head of nDreams Studio. “The team have produced a true showcase of what the PS VR2 is capable of, and I’m thrilled that PS VR2 owners can finally experience the spectacle of Synapse for themselves.”

If you haven’t already invested all your money in the likes of the HTC XR Elite and are looking for a reason to jump into the VR space then this might very well be it. Synapse is out now, check out the official PlayStation Store for more on this new shooter.
