Get Your Boots On For A Free Mario Strikers: Battle League Demo Event

The upcoming reincarnation of the famed Mario Strikers series is giving fans of the series a chance to hone their skills ahead of time with a free Mario Strikers: Battle League Demo Event.

Before Mario and friends take the action back to the pitch on 10 June, Nintendo is set to increase the excitement surrounding this arcade sport sim with a free demo event. Spanning 2 days across June, across several tie periods, this incoming pre season warm up will give us all a hands on glimpse of the action and all we will have to do is turn up to play.

Times:

Anybody looking to have a kick about will need to put some time in during the following play sessions:

• June 3, 8-9 p.m. PT
• June 4, 4-5 a.m. PT
• June 4, 12-1 p.m. PT
• June 4, 8-9 p.m. PT
• June 5, 4-5 a.m. PT
• June 5, 12-1 p.m. PT

For those that missed the fixture list, the latest Mario Strikers title is the third mainline entry in the franchise and is a mix of arcade action, overzealous supercharged feats of athleticism, and the good old game. That’s football (or soccer if you must). After assembling a team of four iconic characters, and the odd Goomba, players picking up this demo invitation will look to dribble, pass, and strike to score the most goals. They will just need to keep an eye out for the electric fences, flame cannons, and orbital bursts. With tons of choices and plenty of different positions to play, Mario Strikers is looking like a fine new addition to a much loved Mario spin off. The Mario Strikers: Battle League event is available to download for free in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store, and is open to all Nintendo Switch Online members, as well as anyone using a free Nintendo Switch Online seven-day trial. This means that anybody with a Nintendo Switch should be able to get in and play. The demo will include a brief tutorial mode to get through the basics and then thrust players into the online action against online players where they can try out all 10 of the game’s main characters.

Get limbering up and off the bench by checking out what’s coming in the recent teaser trailers or over on the official eShop page now.
