The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth Launch Date

EA and Capital Games have announced that their mobile collaboration, The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, is ready for release. Developers revealed that iOS and Android fans will be able to get their hands on the game beginning May 10th. Players are invited to pre-register their interest in the game in order to be kept up to date on the latest news. Pre-registration is available here.

To celebrate the big news, developers released a trailer showcasing gameplay for the first time. Viewers will get a peek into the “stylized realism art style” and see iconic character archetypes. These include wanderers, warriors, wizards, and others. According to the team, the game leans on the existing canon to “capture the essence” of Tolkien’s fantasy world. However, it’s not all known stories players will explore. Developers are also creating new stories from the universe to expand it and create a “more inclusive and diverse Middle-earth.”

Viewers will also see a smattering of story activities, PvP battles, and other gameplay modes that will ship with the game’s launch.
