The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story Is A New Riot Forge Release

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is out today on PC and consoles, adding a new tale to the LoL catalog.

Riot Forge has just released the latest League of Legends spin-off, and it’s a gritty 2D hi-bit pixel action RPG. Based on the iconic gaming brand that made its mark in the MOBA scene, this new adventure is a fully-fledged ARPG with a rogue mage army at its heels. Published by Riot’s own label and developed by Digital Sun, The Mageseeker comes from the same talent that built Moonlighter. The similarities here are clear, and this gorgeous pixel art spills out over the kingdom of Demacia. This corner of Runeterra seeks to curtail what it deems as forbidden magic while wielding magic themselves to maintain order. Obviously, that doesn’t go so well.

Players picking up this gorgeous new adventure can play as Sylas, an escaped mage whose quest for vengeance will shatter Demacia’s imposed peace. Melding hand-picked fantasy gameplay, lots of spellcasting, and a compelling narrative, this looks like a great new chapter for LoL fans.
