The Porsche Design AOC Agon Pro PD27S Parks Itself At The Centre Of Any Desktop

Porsche Design and Agon by AOC just announced a new entry in this high end brand of gaming displays, the PD27s.

Following on from earlier high performance options from Porches’ rather exclusive lifestyle brand, the iconic car maker and AOC’s monitor team have just announced the PD27S, another stunning new display. Taking inspiration from cutting edge sportscar design and moulding it around a high spec display, the PD27S is all aggressive lines and polished metal, for a slick setup that draws on the steering and wheel spokes of any classic Porsche. The tapered metal stand might be the most eye catching element of this newly announced gaming monitor, but the PD27S does look to have plenty under the hood.

This option comes with a flat IPS (AAS) panel, which should result in great color reproduction with 95 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut and 99 percent of sRGB gamut covered. The QHD resolution (2560×1440) and 27 inch panel give plenty of space to play at possibly the most common PC gaming resolution, and the 165 Hz / 170 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GtG response time mean there’s no excuse for slow responses. Adaptive-Sync is also included in the Pd27S to keep those high speed corners looking tight, although more pedestrian tasks benefit from a 4-port USB 3.2 hub, dual 6W speakers, and DTS audio. We’ve been a fan of the AOC and Porsche collaborations since the very first PD27 pulled up on my front drive, and you might be too if you take a minute to check out the official website, and have a spare £429.99 or local equivalent.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
