180Hz, IPS panels, and a value focus are all on brand for the new Agon G4 Monitors
Agon by AOC has just announced a new pair of gaming monitors. Not happy with upping the game with 4K and widescreen options last year, the peripheral and monitor brand has opened 2024 with the 23.8″ (60 cm) AOC Gaming 24G4X and the 27″ (68 cm) 27G4X.
The new gaming monitors will arrive on desktops around late January 2024 and are lined up to meet high performance gaming requirements, without getting mired down by an oversized budget. Both models feature Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution IPS panels and a 180Hz refresh rate. Keeping up with the on screen action shouldn’t be too much issue, thanks to NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility and a response time of up to 1ms GtG. While it’s hardly top end, the specifications for this part also include HDR10 support, for enhancing challenges that don’t involve a KDR. The 24G4X and 27G4X are natural successors to the G2 range of displays, mimicking much of the brand form and style. Universal dark grey accents and triangular shapes are the go-to here and should leave plenty of room for whatever gaming rig takes your fancy.
As we’d expect from anything under this brand, plenty of configuration options, a solid on-screen display menu, and plenty of connectivity come as standard. 2 x HDMI 2.0, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, an audio output, and 2 x 2W speakers should keep most modern gaming platforms on display. If you’re looking for speed, great visuals, but don’t need 1440p or 4k, then these might be worth a look.
The AOC GAMING 24G4X and 27G4X are set to raise the bar in base-level gaming monitors. Both 24G4X and 27G4X Agon G4 monitors come with a 3-year-warranty and will be available from late January 2024, at an MSRP of £149.99 and £169.99 respectively.
