Wayfinder is coming to Early Access on 15 August with Founder’s Packs, season passes, new characters, and more.
Developer Airship Syndicate took to the Internet last night to drop a bunch of information for eager heroes. The upcoming MMO Wayfinder will be coming to Early Access on 15 August, with soon to be heroes able to jump in and beat back the gloom with the aid of a Founder’s Pack or Season Pass.
Founder’s Packs
During a showcase stream, which you can watch back on Twitch or YouTube, the team behind this upcoming adventure confirmed that Wayfinder will be released in Early Access with Gloom Break: Founder’s Season 1 on August 15 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. These support packages are player’s way into the Early Access period with free to play coming directly afterwards. The game unlocks with all four tiers, Base, Initiate, Awakened and Exalted. Wayfinder Founder’s Packs will be upgradable via the Store platform of choice. You can even upgrade a pack at any time during Early Access. Harness the power of Heroic Kyros, a visually striking and more powerful version of Kyros only available through Early Access Awakened or Exalted Packs. AJ Lasaracina, Director of Marketing, and Alex Campbell, Community Manager, did, however, confirmed that these packs are not likely to be available ahead of August, so it’ll be all go on Early Access Day. The Reward Tower
Designed to allow players to progress at their own pace, the Reward Tower is something of its own battle pass. This round of progressive rewards is available to buy at any time during a season and will vary based on the Founder’s Pack purchased. They offer a new way to earn rewards, offering up offering 100+ unique items and allowing players to spend progression unlocking whichever path they chose. Everything from housing, pets, weapons, and more are on offer.
Crucially, they never expire. This means you’ll be able to pick up these packs and works towards the goals without them being rug pulled at the last minute.

Venomess
Included in the Season 1 Reward Tower is a brand-new character. The team revealed Venomess! While we didn’t get a bunch of information regarding this new Wayfinder, it looks like we’ll be mixing up grenades and long-range projectiles with some other skills when Venomess.

Earn her crafting components in the Reward Tower with the Base Pack or Initiate Pack or gain instant access to both her and her signature weapon Nightshade, plus a bonus season-exclusive Style with the Awakened Pack or Exalted Pack!

For any of you heading out to a game’s convention over the summer, you could pick up rewards just for trying out Wayfinder. Gamescom attendees will have an opportunity to go hands-on with Wayfinder when Europe’s biggest gaming convention kicks off. Gamescom attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to go hands-on, a chance to meet Creative Director Joe Madureira, and win limited-edition game merchandise or participate in experiential photo opportunities. NYCC and PAX West attendees should keep an eye out for hands on and merch opportunities too.
