Blizzard’s MMORPG World of Warcraft is holding a special limited-time in-game event Greedy Emissary to pay homage to another game of the studio: the hellish RPG Diablo. Strange winds blow in from another world, and sightings of odd, bag-holding creatures spot the land. Find them and see what treasure they may hold!
The event starts today, May 25th, and will be running through June 14th. The special occurrences will be happening across the Capital Cities and Dragonflight Zones, so keep your eyes peeled! Those who manage to put a swift end to a greedy, saw-toothed thief will get a number of rewards inspired by Sanctuary:
- Baa’lial Soulstone (pet);
- Ensemble: Enmity Hood and Cloak (transmog);
- Nightmare Banner (toy);
- Treasure Nabbin’ Bag (transmog);
- Tyrael’s Charger (mount);
- Wirth’s Fightin’ Leg (off-hand);
- Wirt’s Haunted Leg (two-hand mace);
- Wirth’s Last Leg (one-hand mace).
If you have missed on the initial Diablo III promotion that granted Tyrael’s Charger mount, Greedy Emissary event is the perfect chance to add it to your collection! There is also a number of achievements and other toys such as the Tome of Town Portal and Twelve String Guitar. Join the hunt to stop the greedy emissary taunting the citizens of Azeroth. The event is only available on the retail servers.
