Xbox to Possibly Start a Family Plan for Game Pass Later This Year

Nintendo has their family plan, PlayStation has announced its new tiered game pass variant, and now there are reports of a full-fledged family pass coming for Xbox. Based on reports from Windows Central, Microsoft Xbox has wanted a family plan for some time now. The logistics of it were not able to be ironed out between paying third-party publishers and dealing with royalties for titles. This is based on switching from single-use subscribers to multi-use family plans. We may soon finally get some news about this later this year.

It appears that the plan will utilize pre-existing plan types for other Microsoft programs and allow you to link up to five total accounts to this one family plan. You will pay more for the service, but it will be cheaper than paying for all five of those separate accounts for game pass. Currently there are no details about the cost of the plan and there is only speculation on if it will count towards PC or just Xbox Game Passes.

Once we get more details about this family plan it will be posted and hopefully it just adds to how good the game pass is currently. PlayStation’s plan seems good but limited on what it is starting with.
