Zenless Zone Zero PS5 Version is Confirmed During State of Play

Last night’s State of Play Stream confirmed Proxies will get a Zenless Zone Zero PS5 version.

Residents of New Eridu will have a few more helping hands when HoYo’s next big thing comes crashing onto desktops and mobiles. The outfit behind the likes of Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact just confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero is coming to the PlayStation 5. The news dropped during the latest State of Play presentation. While that didn’t come with a release date, we did get a new trailer giving us a look at what awaits anybody brave enough to take on the Hollows. Initially announced in 2022 and presented to the public during last year’s convention season, Zenless Zone Zero builds on the diverse roster of anime inspired games that have already captured the hearts and wallets of audiences across the globe. Stepping away from the open world fantasy elements of the studio’s big hit, this title plunges players into an urban sci-fi sprawl named New Eridu. The cityscape stands as a bastion for civilization that is regularly ravaged by tears in reality. Only the brave and gifted can traverse these Hollows, fight off the monsters inside them, and repair the damage to the world.

This setting provides plenty of opportunity to jump into instanced assignments, taking on a range of gameplay elements that peak with some serious fluid action combat systems. All the regular HoYo free to play elements are still at play, with cool character design, gacha systems, and exquisite animation that captivate us during our hands on preview.

The announcement of a Zenless Zone Zero PS5 version means the team behind this new tale can to push the boundaries of what we’ve seen before and utilize the technology in the PS5 to provide a suitably fluid experience for players. Thankfully, the PS5 supports 120Hz output to ensure that Billie won’t ever miss a shot. This adds to the already confirmed release on PC, iOS, and Android platforms.
