Crunchyroll Opens Anime Awards 2020 Voting

crunchyroll anime awards 2020

Crunchyroll, the massive online anime streaming site, has just opened voting for the Anime Awards 2020.

Announced earlier today, the polls are open for this year’s award ceremony and streaming platform Crunchyroll is encouraging anime fans to get in and vote. Between now and 17 January, viewers can head over to the official Crunchyroll Awards page and vote on their anime of last year. Eighteen different categories are up for public deliberation and like every other year, these include Best Anime, Best Fight Scene, Best Score, and most importantly Best Boy.

Crunchyroll has been running annual awards since 2017 and it’s become something of a yearly event for anime fans and those of us that like our games full of the Japanese art form. The show has come in for some stick in the past after playing around with formats and still managing to pretty much turn into a My Yuri on Academia 100 show. This year, instead of rounds or a traditional first past the post system, fans can vote multiple times, but only submit votes for each category once per day. The results of furious voting will be announced live on Crunchyroll this February 15 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.

I don’t know how you intend to vote in the Anime Awards 2020 but I’m going to be tipping my own hat to Babylon, as well as Carole and Tuesday. If you can’t wait for the awards show then rifle through the site for some of the great anime titles that you can play in the meantime.
