Bungie has announced that the annual Destiny 2 Solstice event has kicked off and will run from today through August 9th. The event offers Guardians an opportunity to score some new rewards, armor, and the new Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon.
All players logging into the game for the first time will automatically receive a complete set of reworked Solstice armor. In addition, players can participate in the Bonfire Bash activity to fend off waves of enemies to help upgrade the Solstice armor, unlocking even more themed cosmetics. Those completing event challenges will earn the “Flamekeeper” title and will be able to purchase the corresponding Seal in Solstice collectible medallion pin. Guardians looking for a more tangible reward can complete the introductory Solstice quest to unlock the Solstice 2022 shirt that can be unlocked and purchased through the Bungie Rewards program, obtained through the Bungie Store.
Available from Eververse, a new range of summer-themed cosmetics are sure to cool you down when your enemies turn up the heat. Players can also pick up a new Event Card to earn free rewards, with an upgrade option that unlocks even more Solstice cosmetics.
