Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix is coming. Later this week, get strapped in and jump into the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix on 3 July.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled hasn’t been out for long but this remaster of the cult racing classic is already dropping new updates. Initially getting off the grid on at the end of June, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled floored it and raced up the video game charts. Now as it hits number 2 in the UK, the bandicoot powered competition is hotting up.
Instead of traditional DLC content, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 players will find the first Grand Prix season pushed down to their front rooms and for free. The new seasonal competition will take players on a whirlwind race around the crash world and introduces a brand new track. The Twilight Tour track joins the current list of tracks and brings a middle-east inspired aesthetic to the chaos.
While players are busy getting to grips with the day-night cycle in Twilight Tour, the Grand Prix also provides the opportunity to earn a whole heap of new rewards. Players who take part in seasonal challenges can earn Nitro Gauge XP and swap this for new characters, extra skins, new karts, and a garage full of customization items.
Developer Beenox isn’t just stuffing the Grand Prix full of prizes either. The in-game Pit Stop is adding extra swag. The game’s Wumpa Coin currency can be used to pick up a bunch of new gear, including the Nitro Squad. Originally known s the Trophy Girls back in the 1990s.
As an online racer, it’s great to see the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix brand new content to this crash course for free. Now let’s just hope that the online gameplay keeps up with its competitors. You can find out more about the brand new rework of Crash Team Racing at the official website.
