Deadcraft Will Let You Farm The Apocalypse On 19 May

Marvelous Inc has unveiled a new apocalyptical survival sim where you’ll be able to fight, feed, and farm the apocalypse across PC and Console.

Marvelous pulled back the curtain on a brand-new title last night and it’s full of zombies. Deadcraft, the newest title to come out of Marvelous’ first party studio is a deadly and slightly unusual mix of ideas that will even allow you a little slice of life farming in the middle of a terror filled wasteland. We might be a little over focused on the upcoming farming aspects of this adventure, as there’s plenty more to do here. Deadcraft puts players in the role of a somewhat human survivor of the zombie apocalypse and as they slice through a narrative campaign looking for answers, craft ingenious weapons, and dip heavily into the survival genre to keep you fully stocked during your time in this title.

Set in a timeline where a hailstorm of meteors has impacted the Earth and unleashed a deadly virus, there is barely more than a scorched wasteland left. The central protagonist in this unfortunate future is a half human half zombie who is the victim of some diabolical lab testing and is looking for answers. It might all sound very Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and the aesthetic is distinctly anime inspired at times. There’s a super powered half human who can crush the zombie masses with his newfound curse, although that isn’t all. Along the way, players will craft fantastical new armaments, conjure curious concoctions, or even grow and harvest zombie soldiers with a mix of ideas that seems to jump from ARPG to sandbox farming.

How it all plays out, we will have to see when Deadcraft arrives on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch system on 19 May 2022. Find out more in the trailer above or the official Deadcraft social feeds now.
