Find Out What’s Waiting On Mars As Red Solstice 2: Survivors Gets A Free Demo

Red Solstice 2: Survivors, the real-time tactical shooter that takes back Mars, now has a Steam demo.

Just in time for the Steam Autumn Sale, Red Solstice 2: Survivors has just announced a new demo. Available over on the Steam Store page for this top down sci-fi adventure, it invites new recruits and fans of the first game to pick up something incendiary and find out what exactly is waiting on mars. This new demo includes all the latest updates and three single-player missions; “The Awakening”, “Emergency Extraction” and “New War” as well as a portion of the Strategy Laye, allowing players to cut through an opening slice of this title and maybe secure a spot on your ill-advised Steam Sale splurges.

Red Solstice 2 is more than just a top down action shooter. Following on from the original Red Solstice it plunges brave souls into a world filled with claustrophobic action and chaotic missions across a world brimming with horrific genetic mutations, all out to claw you and your comrades down. Players can get through the various encounters that await using careful strategic planning, a variety of potential weapons, and an eager trigger finger. Not too eager, or you’ll run out of ammo halfway through any of the many missions on offer. If you’re still uncertain about that price tag then take a look at some of our impressions before jumping in.

In the year 117 After Earth, there isn’t much to celebrate, not with the STROL mutant invasion looming on the horizon, but whether you are just in it to blow up a boss or rescue a rapped scientist, at least you can do it for free. If you want to download the Red Solstice 2: Survivors demo head over to the official Steam Store page where the full game is currently at 40% off. In addition, the first of four premium DLCs (Howell-Barrex Inc.) is now available as well as the Season Pass which will give access to all released and upcoming DLCs, and mechs. I mean, who doesn’t love that new mech smell while defending the planet, right?
