No, it’s not some cheesy holiday movie, but a new holiday event now live in Fortnite. The update is mainly for the PvE side of the game, though there is also the news that Season 2 has started in Battle Royale.
The full update notes are available on the official site. Epic has released a pair of new trailers, one focused on PvE and the other on Battle Royale PvP.
Fortnite Update
During the holiday event, PvE players will have a new themed questline to run through. Rewards include new holiday-themed loot and activities, all taking place on a snowy festive map.
PvE players can also look forward to some new tweaks to existing features including rebalanced difficulty, resourcing and rewards.
On the PvP Battle Royale side, Season 2 has started that bring new cosmetic rewards as they progress through the season. But the holidays aren’t lost here either. A new Snowball Grenade Launcher is available for players as well as a number of visual updates. Check out daily quests, updated UI, bug fixes and other general game improvements too.
