Every year there are charity events to raise money for one cause or another. The GCX Event is currently having a week long streaming affair on Twitch where streamers are doing what they can to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can check it out here.
Streamers like Lvndmark, LuxieGames, and in a shocking announcement, even DrLupo is going to be once again on Twitch for the first time since he moved to YouTube. So far the creators who have streamed have brought in over three hundred thousand dollars in a short amount of time.
The event will run for a week through June 10th finishing up with DrLupo as the tail end streamer. He has helped a few of his fellow gamers out with their streams. He has even donated money directly to the charity for these streamers getting to certain goals. He is one of the highest earners for St. Jude and it shows in his dedication to this charity.
With all of the streamers that are out there it is great to see a community rally around a good cause. The stream is running 24/7 and is a world-wide effort to raise money to help sick children.
