Warframe, the online game full of space ninjas, has released Nightwave 3 and this new update isn’t exactly what you’d expect from the action combat game.
Available now across PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch the latest update to the long-running online action game is about to ask players to put down their sword and pick up a spyglass as the Glassmaker strikes. The third Nightwave series allows players to jump into the heart of a mystery and track down a murderer only known by the ‘Glassmaker’ moniker and the trail of crystalline bodies left in their wake. Rather than slicing your way through challenges, Nightwave 3 pushes players to Step into Nora’s crime-simula to witness the gruesome work of the Glassmaker. Check the shadows, search for clues and follow the trail of “glassed” bodies to crack the case… before it’s too late.
Loot
As well as a new narrative element, the Nightwave 3 update drops a ton of rewards for Tenno. These include the Cephalon-inspired Boolean Sugatra, extra augments, earpieces, ammo, and an exclusive Nightwave Landing Craft. In addition, the Ash Shroud collection allows players to pick up a new cold-blooded Ash Shroud Skin, the venerable Causta Bow Skin and the forged-from-fire-and-bone Cremata Syandana. There is certainly plenty to gain from cracking this case.
The new Nightwave Series is expected to run for around two months, at least, allowing players plenty of opportunities to try out many of the update’s time-limited Acts. For those of you confused by this description, Nightwave is an ongoing pirate radio broadcast hosted by Nora Night, the eyes and ears of the Origin System. Each series of Nightwave that transmits in Warframe tells a brand new story that unfolds over the course of weeks and comes split up into time-limited acts. Think Guild Wars 2’s Living World without the giant world-changing dragons on your back.
