With the approach of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker nearing, it appears that there are some big plans for a crossover event in Fortnite. As of the wee hours this morning, players can purchase an Imperial Stormtrooper skin for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. In addition, those who purchase Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from the Epic Games Store will receive the skin for free.
“The Imperial Stormtrooper is scouting the Island. Grab him in the Item Shop now! Are you ready to join the Empire? It doesn’t matter if you’re a little short (or even too tall), you can grab the Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit in the Item Shop now until November 17 at 7 PM ET!”
But wait! That’s not all! Deep in the distance of space, it appears that one of the Imperial Capital Ships is beginning to make an appearance. It is possible that it is an Imperial I – Class Star Destroyer, a classic ship seen emerging from the ruins of the Death Star in recent Rise of Skywalker trailers. It’s possible that this is a hint for an upcoming crossover event in December to celebrate the release of the film.
