Persona 5: The Phantom X is the latest spin off from the wildly successful Person 5 game, and this mobile adventure just got a new teaser trailer.
TapTap Game Conference 2023 played out over the weekend, brining tons of new mobile news to players eager to pick up something for on the go. The latest Persona title fits firmly into this phone based presentation, and publisher Perfect World gave fans of the popular RPG franchise something to get excited about. A new trailer for the upcoming iOS and Android title revealed a brand new character.
Thanks to Gematsu you can still catch the trailer in a post pinned by the developers, over on TapTap. This begins in a subway station and end sup revealing the new character, giving an glimpse at what players can expect form the new narrative spin. The Phantom X is not all unexplored ideas, however. Set in Tokyo, the story is familiar enough. It follows a new group of student Phantom Thieves navigating a low-desire era and battling in palace-themed worlds. Following what appears to be a familiar format, and established Persona aesthetic, this is an edition that will likely suit anybody without a Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a ton more information being handed out to western media, as Persona 5: The Phantom X is scheduled for a China release right now. We do know it will feature a number of recognizable gameplay features, social aspect, and the always luxurious Velvet Room.
