A date has finally been revealed for the PlayStation Plus Rollout in four markets. Asia, Japan, Americas, and Europe times are as follows. Asia is targeting May 23, 2022, Japan is targeting June 1, 2022, the Americas are shooting for June 13, 2022, and Europe is looking at June 22, 2022.
If you can get behind the pricing of these new tiers then you should be fine. Here in the US we are looking at the Essential plan at 10 USD a month, 15 a quarter, and 60 a year. The Extra plan is 15 USD a month, 40 a quarter, and 100 a year. Finally the Premium plan will be 18 USD a month, 50 a quarter, and 120 a year. Here is a link to the blog if you want to find out more.
Currently I am happy with my 60 dollars a year and get enough of a service from it. If you want to play all of those old school games on a newer console then by all means the Premium plan will be good for you. I still play the classics on my PlayStation 2.
This should be an interesting year for PlayStation players once this rolls out and we will see how it affects the landscape of gaming with new and old games.
