Retro Bowl Throws a New Exhibition Mode into The Action

Retro Bowl has thrown a brand-new game mode into touch, just in time for Superbowl season.

16-bit throwback, Retro Goal might not have captured the attention of our more American inclined readers this week, but New Star games hasn’t forgotten it’s almost time for the Superbowl. Just ahead of this momentous occasion, The BAFTA award winning studio ash dropped a new game mode into arcade sports sim, Retro Bowl.

Android and iOS owners can put together one-off matches in this classic all American sporting title. Any matchup, any league, any teams can face off and go head-to-head in a crushing cacophony of pixelated competition. Even better, it’s free. Once you’ve picked the teams, throw in against the AI or play against another player via pass n’ play.

While it might not have the stunning graphics that adorns Maximum Football, this title is surprisingly popular. Over 17 million downloads on mobile and over 50 million gameplay sessions on Poki and Kongregat already attest to this. If you’re looking to prove your team’s worth ahead of the big game, or just claws back some bragging rights after missing out then Exhibition mode is available now in Retro Bowl.
