Sucker for Love: Date to Die For is brining anime demon waifus to your desktop just in time for 14 February 2024
Dread XP and developer AkaBaka just announced the launch date for their new Lovecraftian visual novel dating simulator. Announcing the day around the Indie Horror Showcase, the minions behind the very first monster loving Sucker for Love confirmed that we get a second date on PC on valentine’s Day 2024.
Sucker for Love: Date to Die For is the stand alone follow up to the unexpected mix of visual novel, dating sim, horror novel, and 90’s anime that spawned back in DATE. This time around, players picking up the challenge find themselves in the role of a woman named Stardust who travels home after receiving a mysterious letter from her deceased parents. Unfortunately, things have gone sideways and the town overrun by cultists. Rather than call the cops the natural reaction is to head down, into the deepest pits of madness, Stardust must reluctantly call upon Rhok’zan, The Black Goat of the Woods!
We should be able to expect ta familiar and utterly silly mix of genres, as Stardust finds herself pursued in more ways than one. With nefarious cultists, Eldritch husbandos, and tricky visual novel tropes to subvert, this one is likely to be a good night in for anybody skipping the usual horrors the corporate love day in 2024.
