Headbangers Rhythm Royale flapped into view during Saturday’s Future Games show and we’re flapping excited over this pigeon themed rhythm royale.
Team17 and Glee-Cheese certainly brought something unexpected to the bird table on Saturday. Featuring an orchestra of animated pigeons, musical mini games, and a battle royale, Headbangers Rhythm Royale is one of the standout titles that popped its head up over the weekend. In a few days where everything we might have seen during E3’s cancelled show arrived on screens, this one stood out. Eschewing AAA Unreal 5 enlightened graphics for something a little more Ardman, the new multiplayer experience challenges players to take on 29 other player-controlled pigeons across four increasingly tense rounds, testing their memory, rhythm, reflexes, reaction time, and most importantly … their ability to rap!
With a range of silly looking mini games, competitors will be able to take to the dancefloor across 23 challenges, besting their opponents and collecting precious breadcrumbs to trade in for outstanding outfits. Cross flock support is already confirmed meaning that anybody on o PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One can get tapping their talons to the beat. No, this competitive title is defiantly nothing like the run and gun royales we’ve seen before.
With tons of cosmetics, cool looking accessories, and nods to popular music titles already obvious in the trailer, I’m definitely going to be giving this a go when it arrives. Check out the outstanding trailer above. Now I’m just waiting to see when we get a Worms crossover for this bunch. Find out more on the official website now.
