Tetris Royale Unveiled For Mobile. Will It Reign Victorious?

Tetris Royale

A brand new Tetris game is about to kick off a different type of battle royale. N3twork and The Tetris Company has announced Tetris Royale is coming to iOS and Android in 2019.

The Tetris Company’s new adventure is built around the basic building block that makes Tetris such a classic title. Players will need to master rotating and moving a procession of Tetriminos down the screen in order to complete horizontal rows, but this time there is an added pressure. Royale mode will plunge 100 players into a battle to be the best block buster and rise above the average builder.

Tetris Royale will feature a variety of game modes, including massive daily competitions full of thousands of players and solo Marathon mode where players can hone their Tetris skills. Daily challenges and quest lines should also keep players coming back for rewards that can be used to customize their matrix or even power up their abilities during battle. As the first in a line of games coming from N3twork.

This isn’t the end of the competition either. Tetris Royale represents the first part of a multi-year agreement between N3twork and The Tetris Company.

“Fans across the globe love playing Tetris on their mobile devices, which is why we’re pleased to join forces with N3TWORK to introduce new games that will push the Tetris gameplay experience to whole new levels of competitive fun,” said Maya Rogers, President and CEO of Blue Planet Software, the sole agent for the Tetris brand. “Tetris Royale is just the start, and one that we think players will really enjoy. We look forward to letting the battles begin.”

I feel like Tetris Royale sounds like a mobile iteration of Tetris 99 and frankly, that is fine with me. While we do not have a great deal more information on the game quite yet, we will be blocking out some time to play when this goes live. You can find out more on the upcoming game on the App Store and Play Store now.
