Frictional Games has bad news for fans eagerly awaiting the PC/Steam release of Amnesia: The Bunker. Due to “unforeseen certification issues,” the game’s release is now planned for a June 6th release date, about two weeks later than anticipated.
The release of Amnesia: The Bunker has been delayed by two weeks due to unforeseen certification issues.” the development team wrote. “This decision is crucial to ensure we do not ship the game with these issues. The extra time will allow us to rectify the problem and ensure the best possible gameplay experience upon release. We thank you for your understanding and patience.”
The delay affects all PC game versions, including Steam, Epic Games Store, and GoG. The PlayStation and Xbox versions are similarly affected.
However, the team has good news too. A free demo will be released for PC via Steam on May 22nd. Players will get a taste of the horror-themed game that marks the next entry in the beloved series. This allows players to “try before buying” before the June 6th release.
