Dauntless, the monster-hunting multiplayer title from Phoenix Labs, is about to launch for real. Sharpen your hunting tools and grab your friends for the launch of Dauntless 1.0 on 26 September.
For anybody that maybe got sidetracked on the other big monster games, we mean Monster Sanctuary of course, then you might have missed the lead up to launch. A slew of recent updates has been rolling into this co-op action RPG on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now the team behind this surprisingly fun instanced action game are ready to drop players into a brand new world. As Dauntless leaves Early Access it will also drop a major seasonal expansion called Aether Unbound.
Eather Unbound will add a ton of new content to the title, including all-new weapon, Behemoth, Hunt Pass, bounty system for players. This is in addition to the most recent update that added saved loadouts, a crafting UI overhaul, improvements to transmogs, a new exotic weapon, and more. The newest monster to graze its way through Dauntless is a Dire Behemoth, Tempestborne Stormclaw. Aether Unbound will also offer a different way to hunt and earn valuable experience with the new bounty system, in addition to offering Slayers a new Hunt Pass packed with in-game rewards. After Dauntless exits Early Access, the team behind the game have promised that it will continue to grow, using more new content, seasonal updates, and additional Hunt Passes to provide players with a steady flow of new content to enjoy for years to come.
