Dying Light 1 Gives Us New Next-Gen Updates to Performance Live Now on PS5

Dying Light is a title that has been played by over 20 million people around the world, and it is easy to see why. It is a zombie game with a great story and even better weapon upgrades. Recently cross-play was announced and you can read that story here. Now, players around the world are getting some great news. A next-gen patch is here for PlayStation 5 and in a few days, we will see one for the Xbox Series X/S.

For the PlayStation 5, we will see 4K and 60FPS support, with a 30 FPS cap for PlayStation 4 Pro. Players on the 5 will be able to run the original story with one of these new modes.

PS5

  • Performance mode with 60 FPS in Full HD resolution
  • Balanced mode is trying to hit 60 FPS in QHD resolution
  • High-Resolution mode with 30 FPS in 4K

PS4

  • Improved 30 FPS cap

Xbox Series X Modes

  • Performance mode gets 60 FPS in Full HD resolution
  • Balanced mode looks towards 60 FPS in QHD resolution
  • High-Resolution mode gets 30 FPS in 4K

Xbox Series S + Xbox One Modes

  • Performance mode gets 30 FPS in full HD resolution
  • High-resolution mode looks at 30 FPS in Quad HD resolution
