DL2 is not the first game to be hit by a development delay in these early days of 2020. CD Projekt Red has delayed Cyberpunk 2077 to September 17, 2020. Final Fantasy VII Remake is taking an extra month in development and will be out on April 10th. Marvel’s Avengers has also been delayed to September 4, 2020. All of these games are said to need more time in the oven to make sure each is up to the standards the developers have set for themselves.
We’ll keep you posted when we learn more about the Dying Light 2 release date.
