Good news, everyone, the slime is flowing again! And with it, Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 3 is almost upon us. Mark your calendars: staring on January 17th, Professor Putricide will be taking over, replacing Battlegrounds Quests with all his new creations.
While the Lich King is marching through Silvermoon, Battlegrounds players have new content to look forward to, including a new minion type and dual minion types, he return of a warped hero, plus Silvermoon and Scourge themed cosmetics.
- Thirty-two new minions come crashing into Battlegrounds in the new Season, including 16 new Undead minions and 11 new dual-type minions;
- Professor Putricide has been revived for Season 3! His new Hero Power—Build an Undead—lets you craft up to 3 custom Undead throughout the game;
- On January 17, Battlegrounds Season 2 will end, and Season 3 will begin. At that point, players will switch over and begin earning rewards on the new Season 3 Battlegrounds Track. The Season Pass for Season 3 will bring some thematic flair with all-new boards and emotes—and you can equip your heroes with all new cosmetics to dress for the Silvermoon or the Scourge!
- Starting January 17, complete quests during the Lunar New Year event to collect event XP, earn shimmering rewards, and keep the lanterns of Sunwell lit.
Additionally, you can celebrate the new season with Twitch Drops – and get something special out of it.
