Particle City and Respawn announced that a new entry in the Titanfall series is on its way. Called Titanfall Assault, the game offers players a chance to test their RTS skills.
Titanfall Assault is a mobile-only game
If you were hoping for another entry in the Titanfall series, this should be a nice surprise. Though not a console title, at least it provides a chance to take your favorite Pilots and Titans on the road.
Here’s what we know so far:
- real-time strategy
- tactical “Burn Cards” for battlefield support
- PvP matches on maps from the Frontier War
- create & send out custom squads
- earn rewards for placement on the leaderboards

Put your skills to the test as you assemble the ultimate deck of Pilots and Titans paired into heroic duos. Collect and upgrade dozens of cards including tactical Burn Cards providing powerful battlefield support. Strategize your way to victory over enemy forces in epic PvP battles and compete for glory and rewards on the leaderboards.
According to Polygon, this is not the first Titanfall mobile title developers have tried to release. The first was Titanfall: Frontline, a mobile TCG. It was, however, canceled only a few months later.
With Nexon partnered with Respawn for multiple games over several years, it’s equally likely we’ll see more.
