Tomb Raider Reloaded has set a date with fans of Lara, as the upcoming mobile game opens pre-registration before coming to mobiles across the globe.
As if I didn’t already have some time penned in with Wanted: dead, it looks like 14 February is going to be more demanding on my time than I imagined. CDE Entertainment, the 12th operative group of Embracer Group AB, today announced that Tomb Raider Reloaded has opened pre-registration for the latest entry in the Tomb Raider franchise. Rather than the big screen blockbuster we’re expecting from Amazon, Reloaded is launching on iOS and Android with something of a throwback for long term fans of this franchise.
A New Type of Tomb Raider
Taking a slightly less gritty approach than Lady Croft’s recent outings, this adventure takes players on an action-filled adventure as they jump into the boots of groundbreaking hero Lara Croft. This time she’s out to swan-diving into the ocean, clamber up cliffs, outwit enemies, and more in order to find an ancient Scion artifact. To grab this treasure you’ll need to navigate roguelike rooms filled with a randomized assortment of traps, puzzles, and familiar foes from Lara’s ongoing adventures. Looks out for a big t=rex somewhere in the mix. Like any decent roguish adventure expects each run to come combined with a variety of modifiers, difficulties, and boosters to enhance or increase the difficulty, but never make each run too familiar. While this all sounds a little different from Lara’s normal outings, expect plenty of familiar content al crammed into the City of Vilcabamba, the Lost Valley, and St. Francis’ Folly. You can get a look at this mobile title in the trailer above or pre-register via the official website now.
