Blue Protocol Closed Beta for the West Begins on 8 November

Blue Protocol Closed Beta - character wields weapon at screen

A Blue Protocol Closed Beta will kick off private testing, inviting western players to break things on 8 November 2023.

After a long silence, we finally have the first major news out of Amazon’s anime since Gamescom 2023. The publisher behind Lost Arka and New World are set to bring western players together to break stuff in a closed testing phase on 8 November. A news post on the official website announced the testing last night, and it appears that there are a number of caveats for players to be aware of.

Locations, NDA, and Specifications

The restricted aces will be applicable for North American and European locations, and information won’t be shared with the general public. Amazon explicitly stated that:

“By participating in the Closed Technical Test, you agree to keep it strictly confidential. You may not disclose, in any form, content from this playtest, including any information about the game, its features, announcement date, and live release plan. Any breach of confidentiality will be treated seriously. We hope you enjoy playing and appreciate your feedback.”

This means that despite the obvious excitement, we should not expect any new details or gameplay footage to hit the internet, but that is not all. Anybody eager to sign up to the testing event will need a PC that is up to the task. The specifications are listed below, although this might change before the full launch,
OS – Windows 10(64-bit)
CPU – Intel Core_i3-4340
Memory – 8GB RAM
Graphics Card – NVIDIA Geforce GTX660(2GB)/ AMD Radeon R7 370(2GB)
HDD/SSD capacity – HDD 40GB
Display monitor resolution – 1280 x 720
DirectX – DirectX 11 or 12

What To Expect and How to Sign Up

Players who manage to sneak into the Blue Protocol Beta will find themselves in the into the world of Regnas. You’ll be able to complete the game’s first chapter with English text and VO in place, but still incomplete. The five primary classes will be available to try out, including the dual-axe-wielding Twin Striker and the element-manipulating Spell Weaver. We’d recommend trying out as many as possible during your time. Each play wildly differently and is impacted by the weapons you choose. To find out more about Blue Protocol, check out our Gamescom 2023 hands on. Anybody who wants to try their luck can sign up over on the official Blue Protocol website and jump into Regnas between 8 November at 2PM PT to 10 November at 2 PM PT.
