A whirlwind of anarchy is about to land in Total War: Warhammer III with the launch of a new DLC, title Champions of Chaos.
Four servants of the Chaos Gods are set to tear up the realm of man and beast this summer when a new DLC arrive in Total War: Warhammer III. As thee competing forces do battle, they will wreak untold carnage while forging a path towards the ancient arena-city of Zanbaijin to claim its arcane power as their own. Who will grasp this prize, you’ll probably have to put your hat in the ring if you want to wield this power.
Due to land on 23 August, the latest DLC in the Total War: Warhammer franchise of tactical titles will arrive with a total of four new Warriors of Chaos Legendary Lords and a ton of features to keep players entertained and vanquish their enemies. With double the usual number of Lords, this is an absolutely massive campaign of destruction. This, of course, also means plenty of new gameplay mechanics and over 50 new units in the field. The new units include Warshrine of Chaos which bestows terrible gifts upon those who make the appropriate sacrifice, Chaos Knights who ride as a wall of blades and spiked armor to crash through the enemy ranks in an explosion of torn flesh, and the Chosen, an ironclad group of elite slaughterers who form the inner circle of their lord’s warband.
Sega and the tactical team at Creative Assembly are giving us all fair warning about the doom that’s staking to our doors. There’s even a brand new trailer, above. For those that want the run down on each of the aforementioned Lords, the first of these fearsome hedonists has already been confirmed as Azazel, Prince of Damnation. The bane of humanity since time immemorial, his constant acts of devotion and debauchery have assured his high standing in the eyes of Slaanesh, the Chaos God of excess and hedonism.
Alongside all the bloody carnage, everybody will gain access to a new free game mode.
