Lemnis Gate PC Public Beta Coming This Month

Frontier Foundry has announced that its “time-looping, turn-based shooter” Lemnis Gate will feature a public beta from July 22nd to July 26th. The game will eventually be coming to several platforms for $19.99 including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, the upcoming beta event is for PC players only.

Players will be able to experience several aspects of the game including four maps and two game modes. Players will also have the opportunity to try out each of the seven Operatives to check out each one’s unique abilities and contributions to team play. As a reward for participation, players will be able to unlock weapon and operative skins that will stay with the player once the game is fully released.

In addition to the beta news, Frontier also released a new developer diary that explores how the game is played. Game Director James Anderson and 3D Artist Corey Kasperski look at the game’s four modes including Retrieve XM, Domination, Seek & Destroy, and Deathmatch with the unique twists the dev team is bringing to the fore. They also introduce match types including 1v1 and 2v2.

Both modes offer players the option to play either turn-based or simultaneous turn-based, where teammates will play together on the same turn. All of these modes and match types will be available both online and offline. Through Lemnis Gate’s offline mode, players can also play with their friends via a “pass the controller” option, and strategize alongside each other in person.
