Play The Wildfrost Demo During Steam Next Fest

Wildfrost, the chilly looking deck builder from Chucklefish, will be playable during October’s Steam Next Fest.

Beginning on 3 October and for a full week afterwards, players perusing the games in the Steam Next Fest will be able to try out this beautifully animated deck builder. Chucklefish has confirmed that a demo will be available via the Steam Store page during this online event. Players will get the opportunity to get hands on with the Snowdweller Tribe, take on three battles per run, face off against six potential mini-bosses , and take down one very big end encounter. For anybody already scrambling to check out this slice of Wildfrost, expect it to be available on PC and in English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese, and Korean.

For anybody who hasn’t caught up with the latest upcoming adventure from Chucklefish, this winter warmer is a deck based battler full of charming companions and cute collectables. Set in a world bitten by ice, players will attempt to use powerful elemental items to ward off this cold front and take back the world. Starting out in a small civilization of Snowdwell, the population of this place must fend off an eternal winter and venture out to reach the Sun Temple. Along the way, players can recruit new card companions to the campaign. Each companion can receive charms to enhance their powers, while Snowdwell serves as a central hub that we’d encourage you to upgrade for additional unlocks.

If nothing else, check out the trailer before donning your woolens. Wildfrost looks as charming as recent release Eastward, with its own aesthetic and appeal. Check out everything about Wildfrost ahead of the Steam Next Fest demo drop on the Steam Store page.
