Skul: The hero Slayer managed an astonishing 2 million Players since it leaped into battle.
Developer Skullpaw Games and Publisher Neowiz are celebrating a huge achievement for an unlikely hero. Ever since the little skeleton that could arrived on PC back in 2021, we’ve known Skul was something special. Now we know that this indie hit has racked up an astonishing 2 million sales. Not only that. It also managed a cool 1 million sales in its first year. That makes Skul the first Korean indie to manage this milestone.
Available now across PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, Skul’s antics have won this adventure plenty of acclaim. The Steam reviews currently clock in at Very Positive and the Open Critic score is as high as a Strong recommendation. The action roguelite asks players to upend the traditional hero story. Instead, you take on the role of Skul, a seemingly insignificant skeleton in the service of a grander evil. Afte the forces of good raid your dark homestead, it’s up to you to go save the rest of your comrades. Our protagonist uses the heads of defeated enemies to swap in a range of useful powers and abilities. Being a skeleton has its advantages too.
After so many players took on the forces of good, Skul continues to expand. The ‘Demon King Castle Defense & Mythology Pack’ and other free updates are just some of the new and engaging challenges added into the world. If you’re late to the party, then Skul: The Hero Slayer is available as part of the Steam Winter Sale. Check out more on the official website now.
