Red Hook Studios has announced that the Suffer No Sin update has been deployed into Darkest Dungeon II. The update brings players a host of new content but perhaps most excitingly, the patch brings one of the first game’s most popular characters back into play. The Vestal has been one of the most highly requested characters and developers heard their community loud and clear. With the addition of The Vestal, players will now have access to eleven playable heroes.
The Vestal is now a more versatile character than when she appeared in the original. She will act more as a “healer-tank” who can significantly damage an enemy’s back row. Her healing is now tied to Conviction that grows as she smites her opponents. Her entire backstory will be available at the Shrines of Reflection, where players will also go to unlock her suite of abilities.
DD2 has been in early access on EGS since last 2021. Over the intervening months, developers have released a regular cadence of major content updates. Gameplay features expand on the concepts first explored in the first game. Players will be treated to “striking 3D visuals and a new run-based road trip structure.” The latter streamlines the entire experience without any alteration in complexity.
