Starship Troopers: Extermination Update 0.5.0 – The Hives of Valak is live, adding new game modes and addition weapons to this bug hunt.
Starship Troopers: Extermination just dropped an update and the Mobile Infantry just got shotguns. Offworld Industries, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products just announced the latest update to this battle for the future. Update 0.5.0 brings a wealth of new features to this extra-terrestrial survival sim, with new game modes, new weapons, and new maps to die on.
This update has enhanced the arsenal of weapons available to humanity. Each class now has its own specialty shotgun. This provides extra close range utility for each type of troop that has to go toe to pincer with an alien horde. These shotguns are joined by the sniper rifle, available to the Hunter class. This balances out the overwhelming damage of rocksalt with precision destruction from afar. Every class also gets new loadout items too., while the team behind this adventure has increased the overall level caps.
New Missions
These new combat options will be essential in The Hives of Valaka. Things are set o get down right disastrous as the fight goes underground with Hive Hunt: a new combat mode focused on quick assaults with shorter matches. Limited to 4 players, and set across 3 new maps within the dark and dangerous cave networks of Valaka, this focuses on, tactical positioning and skilful utilization of each class. One wrong turn and the team might end up cornered and crawling with bugs. Keep an eye out or the fast paced scenarios might overtake an unprepared squad.
Starship Trooper: Extermination might have a bunch of new updates today, but this build and shoot sim is still some way from full launch.
